Chakita's career has taken her across every major function in the life sciences value chain. S
he started in pharmaceutical sales at Takeda, where she spent over a decade building commercial instincts that would later shape the way she communicated evidence to the stakeholders who control access.
Her pivot into outcomes research was accelerated by her doctoral training and by a deliberate choice to gain experience on the payer side. A role at Express Scripts as a Senior Outcomes Research Manager gave her direct exposure to how payers evaluate evidence and make formulary decisions.
At Humana, she led research consulting engagements across multiple therapeutic areas, managing timelines, budgets, and compliance for high-priority projects. At Sanofi, she served as HEOR Field Director, engaging key stakeholders in disease education and data-driven medical practices.
Bristol Myers Squibb became the longest and most formative chapter of her career.
Over seven years, she held four distinct roles, each one expanding her scope. She deployed the GEO Real-World Data platform to support oncology and hematology insight generation, developed and executed medical strategy for early-phase assets across oncology, hematology, immunology, and cardiovascular, and ultimately led global and U.S. pricing and market access strategy, where she learned how companies make financial decisions under regulatory pressure.
Chakita currently serves as Head of Business Development and Research Partnerships at CVS Healthspire, the life sciences division of CVS Health. In this role, she leads a team focused on building strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations across real-world evidence, clinical trial recruitment, and safety studies.
Her work sits at the intersection of evidence strategy and commercial partnership. She works directly with life sciences teams to design and execute research studies that answer the questions payers, regulators, and clinicians need answered, using data that reflects how patients actually move through care.
